Day 34

The Pentecost Prayer Team | Day 34 of 50 | Day 4 in Acts 29 | Acts chapter 4:

Thursday was an unusually warm day in South Jersey with brilliant blue skies and bright sunshine. It was great for the National Day of Prayer at the Galloway Municipal Center. It was a modest turnout, but those of us that were there were blessed.

Psalm 24:1 (NIV84)

1 The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it,

the world, and all who live in it;

If Psalm 24:1 were not true, our prayers would be in vain. And although all the power for transformation happens by God the Holy Spirit, the Lord uses us frail human instruments. Have you ever seen a magnifying glass used to focus the sun on an object until it bursts into flames? That is what The Pentecost Prayer Team is doing: we are being that magnifying glass. Let us focus our prayers on any strongholds of evil and brokenness so the Son may shine so brightly that these strongholds are destroyed by God the Holy Spirit’s fire. In their place, divine strongholds will be established.

Psalm 90:17 (NIV84)

17 May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us;

establish the work of our hands for us—

yes, establish the work of our hands.

Use us Lord. Come Holy Spirit come. May Jesus be magnified and glorified.
