Day 41

The Pentecost Prayer Team | Day 41 of 50 | Day 1 in Acts 29 | Acts chapter 1:

Today we start our final lap of Acts 29’s 10-day cycle.

Hebrews 12:1 (NIV84) Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

This morning, the Lord repeatedly brought “power” to my attention. What power are we trying to live under? Has your enthusiasm for this prayer team waned? Maybe, you forgot to include yourself in the prayers. Today, let us pray for The Pentecost Prayer Team. I suspect that half of you have fallen away. Do not listen to the whispering of the liar, our enemy the devil.

The Holy Spirit is instantly accessible to fuel our spirits, to empower us. Acts 1 makes it clear that the Church will be built under the power and guidance of God the Holy Spirit. Every cell in our bodies needs nourishment. Every part of the body of Christ, the Church, needs nourishment. God the Holy Spirit is the source. John 15 makes that very clear when Jesus talks to the disciples about abiding in the vine.

We need every person on The Pentecost Prayer Team to finish the race strong. Get back on the track. Stay focused:

Hebrews 12:2 (NIV84) Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Today I travel to Attleboro, MA to attend to my father’s affairs as we prepare for tomorrow’s memorial gathering. Please pray for travel mercies and a time of healing and connection.
